Japanese Canadian Cultural Center

Armed with the architect’s creative vision for the handwashing space, our team was given the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind sink for the iconic Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. And boy did they deliver.

As per KPMB Architects, "The vision for the new  Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre was to create a dynamic, contemporary institution which integrates cultural programming and economic development." The washroom renovation continued this thought with the design of an angular sink that derived inspiration from origami, a visual art form that can be traced back to ancient Japan.

This one-of-a-kind masterpiece moved from a design sketch to a detailed drawing and onto a skilled solid surface fabrication and a seamless installation, and was paired with The Splash Lab's Radius Faucet to create a beautiful handwashing solution.
